Experimentation and development

Evolutionary ecology is concerned with “the impact of global changes on individuals and populations: climate change, population fragmentation, habitat alteration and destruction”. In order to study the impact of these constraints on the eco-physiological responses of ectothermic and endothermic vertebrates, I am in charge, within the evolutionary ecophysiology team of the CEBC (Centre d’Etudes Biologiques de Chizé), of developing and setting up specific protocols, piloting experiments, planning measurement campaigns, participating in the choice of analysis and experimentation technologies. For me, it is therefore a question of taking charge of both routine experiments and of leading the development of new experiments based on questions relating to the team’s research programme.
