Christophe Sauser

Polar seabirds sentinels of the sea ice

After wintering in Terre Adélie as a field assistant on the seabird monitoring program (IPEV prog. 109), Christophe completed an internship at CEBC to quantify the effects of climate and biotic changes on the biodemographic traits of juvenile snow petrel pups. In September 2017, Christophe was recruited by SENSEI to conduct a PhD entitled “Polar Seabirds, Sea Ice Sentinels: Demographic Responses and Life Cycle Traits”, focusing on both snow petrels in the Antarctic and black-legged kittiwakes in the Arctic.
